The Snana Yatra or Snana Purnima Or Jyestha Abhishek (Bathing Fatival ) takes place on the full moon day in the month of Jyeshta(May-June ).On this day,dieties are bathed in 81 pitchers of water .Its is said that after 9 days of heat (rohini nakshtra) Lord Venkateshwara take bath for the first time.
Then after 12 days Brahmohtsav Festival is celebrated.this festival is celebrated for 7 days where difference function take place where at last day Lord Venkateshwara on his silver chariots move to take a round of city.
Indore Rath Yatra ,the famous chariot festival ,at the Indore Venkatesh Mandir in Madhya pardesh is celebrated on the second day of the ShuklaPaksha (waxing Phase of the moon or bright fortnight) ashadh sudhi dujhemonth as per traditional oriya( Hindu) calendar in 2010 ,the date of Indore Rath Yatra is July 13.On the day of the Ratha Yatra, chariot (Rath ) carrying Lord Venkateshwara ,Shri devi,Bhudevi is pulled to near by city area which returns to temple by mid night.
In India Indore Rath Yatrs is tTop 3 Rath Yatra which starts by the end of day which cover’s nearby city area where Lord Venkateshwara on his chariots move to people who cannot visit to temple. chariot which carry’s Lord Venkateshwar is made up of Silver which comes out of temple once in year this chariot is dragged by 20-30 people to city.
On the auspicious ceremony is the world famous Rath yatra .On this day thousand of devotees pull the huge chariots carrying Lord Venkateshwara through the grand road of chatteribagh to different city area and return back to temple by mid night.
